About the Trumpet Awards

The Trumpet Awards, first presented in 1993, were created to herald the accomplishments of Black Americans who have succeeded against immense odds. Special recognition is given to the few, who symbolize the many, who have overcome the ills of racism and poverty and achieved special greatness.

2017 introduces a new chapter for The Trumpet Awards. Through a recent agreement with the Trumpet Awards Foundation, Bounce has acquired all assets for the venerable awards and is squarely poised to continue the ongoing legacy of this event.  The event has been televised annually and distributed internationally to over 185 countries around the world.

Set to celebrate its 25th Anniversary in 2017, the black-tie ceremony will be held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, Jan. 21.  The Trumpet Awards will world premiere on Bounce TV on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 9:00 p.m. (ET).
